JUST received it in the mail; "Joey's Waltz" (track #3) has Ric taking the helm, getting all "bass freaky," almost like a rabid, yet controlled continuation of his solo on "Acropolis." Six minutes into the song, Ric cuts loose with rapid-fire sextuplets, followed by chordal riffs. Wow....

The whole album (bass, guitar, drums) would fit beautifully in a "G3" dvd setting (Vai, Johnson, Satriani, etc.)

This is $$ well spent, especially if your musical tastes include grooving, gritty, razor-edged fusion/funk. Everything is ultra-clean, recorded in a live setting at the Evelyn Hotel in Melbourne, Australia back in 2003.

Ric emailed me, and gave me the "heads up" that another cd is being released in the very near future. I intend to purchase that, too, and will post something to the BB.
