Yanni’s long-time cellist, Sarah O’Brien invites you to Long Beach on June 6, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM for a charity event featuring presentations from her new musical “Winds of Angkor”. Sarah wrote, directed and produced this musical after spending time in Cambodia. Join Sarah in at Siem Reap Asian Cuisine located at 1810 E Anaheim Street in Long Beach for a wonderful night of Cambodian food and entertainment. This fundraising event will enable local artists to attend the Cambodian Youth Arts Festival to be held August 1-6 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The fundraiser will include performances by the “Spirit of Khmer Angkor” and the “Ho Chan Ensemble” and will feature live and video presentation from “Winds of Angkor”.
You can learn more about the musical and the event at these links.
Unfortunately, there is some bad news tonight from Sarah. She has had to postpone this show due to a family tragedy of her production designer.
Because he's had to leave the production in the middle of things, Sarah is trying to pick up the pieces and do some of his job and hers too. She has promised to update us with a new date when she has one.
Sarah we are praying for your production designer and his family. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work with us.
