I have a new e-mail address and I was wondering if I had to change the address on YMB and fan club. I don't know if you received my e-mail asking about this. I can still log on with the old one, but I will not get any fan info or news. Do I need to reregister on everything? Fran sister 85
To change your email address on the YMB click go and then profile and then click edit in the upper right corner. You'll be able to change your email address.
For the Fan Club, please wait until the new website launches. There will be an option to update your email address once it's up. I don't think there are any plans to send any announcements until then.
Hi Bonnie What a job changing the e-mail address on YMB. I tried every e-mail on comcast.net nothing worked. My daughter reminded me I have a Yahoo e-mail address and OMG it worked. I now seem to be up and running. I was wondering if there are any cookies security blocks going on. My husband thinks it is a Microsoft thing. I will wait until the new fan club is ready to change it. I did try to send Ymusicmuse e-mail and did not receive any answer. Thanks Fran sister 85
I just realized what your problem with the other email was. Comcast has blacklisted the server for the Message Board even though they've been repeatedly told that the email from it is not spam. Because of that people trying to use Comcast get no notifications. I had to change my email to my gmail account to get the post notifications.
Muse got your email and forwarded it to me to help you but I had not had a chance to answer you. Sorry for the delay.
Sorry for the scare. Comcast doesn't work for the Message Board notifications, like if you have post notifications. You'll still get the Fan Club emails without any problems.
This has been going on for a long time. At one time it was AOL doing it but they fixed the problem permanently. Somehow we can't get through to Comcast that it's not spam!
Just for your info, if you want a second account, I suggest you try gmail. I get almost no spam in my gmail account. Yahoo is hopelessly cluttered and I gave up on hotmail long ago.
Thanks for the info. Sorry to take more of your time again as I know you are very busy. I don't need any message board notifications (LOL) as I work on my laptop almost all day long and pop in and out as the day progresses. Thanks for making the distinction for me - I'm learning slowly. Thanks for all you and the other moderators do.
