I didn't see anyone post anything about Chicago. I loved the new venue by the way. My seats were 8th row from the stage, middle...perfect!
I was very impressed with Yanni's new production and especially the Voices. I have always thought Yanni should mentor young vocal talent and he has and it's just remarkable what these bright young people have done with Yanni's music. Add to that, their astonishing, well trained voices, bingo....perfection! I always wanted to see some dancing too and though it's not a dancing show, there was just enough to make it visually entertaining.
I have been a fan of Yanni's music since the early days and he never disappoints, NEVER!
I only wish I could have travelled a bit more to other venues as I used to. One concert is definately not enough. There's not another artist on the planet I would care to see more than once a season, or even once!
Times are tough right now on everyone in the country (US). I'm sure offering low cost tickets was Yanni's way of saying "hey, I don't want anyone to miss out" and that is an honorable thing to do. I don't see any other entertainers offering that to their fans....
It was absolutely the greatest thrill to see Yanni again after four years, and an even greater joy to discover that Yanni music is good with words.....more than good, it somehow completes it or retells the story...
I say...Bravo to Yanni, Chloe, Ender, Nathan and Leslie for a brilliant performance in Chicago and one we will look forward to experiencing again and again! Thanks also, to Ric Wake for partnering with Yanni....a great marriage of the minds!
I think I know the reason.. There just aren't any words to describe Yanni! It was a fabulous Concert and the Voices and Orchestra were all superb! That is all I can write about any show.. I am so looking forward to seeing it again in 2 weeks...
"Look at the sunset. If it pleases you, you're a happy man." - Yanni Marilyn Love Is All
I know what you mean Kathy! Judi and I were just dazzled by the show and we both thought that the entire evening went by too quickly. Therefore, the need to see the show again just to focus more on the intricate details. The orchestra was at it's ultimate best, the costumes, the chemistry between the young artists was incredible.
I mean, after four years, finally getting to see friends again, the pain of losing our friend, meeting her fiancee, sharing it all with him, being so moved by some of the songs that we actually wept.....the words were just so appropriate and poignant to what had been happening. The music has always spoken to our souls, but the words validated all of the feelings the music evokes in you.
You all are so lucky to be seeing the upcoming shows.....treasure it!
