I overslept so this will be quick. I had the alarm set to go off during the night so I could get up and let the dog out, and then forgot to reset it for me.

Good Morning. We had another funeral yesterday. My childrens dance teachers son was at a friends house and the friends gun (a 22) accidentallty went off into her son's (Matthew)heart and he died. He was eleven years young. There was over 9 hundred people at the service yesterday. A tremendous outpour of affection and support from the community, over 1,000 posts on facebook so far. I do not know how his family made it thru. He is with God now. Please keep the Bellamy family on the prayer list. That will be what helps them thru this devastating time. Thank you all Terry
Prayers for all here mentioned & especially the Bellamy family...I can only imagine the deep felt grief that runs through this family at the loss of a child...may they find strength in family & friends.
Now I have my mother in a senior assisted home. It is not a nursing home although it does have a nursing staff, which checks up on mom. This place mom has her own apartment, which she pays for with her pension and social security. They provide meals downstairs,which gets my mom out of her apartment a couple of times a day and makes her socialize, which she was not doing when she lived in a reg. apartment. Also I was worried about her not having regular meals. They come and make sure she bathes, and takes her meds. and they have dances and concerts and activities, a gym room and they make her exercise. I think I like having her here and she seems much happier than when she was living in a regular apartment. They have these places all over you just have to check into them. Some are called Sunrise Senior Living I think, my mom is at the Bershire Arms. They are really neat, especially if you do not live super close to your parents.
Am a little sore this morning from the minor surgery yesterday, had a dual lumen port put in and the picc line removed. This will be so much easier than the picc, I don't have to flush it daily and I can shower without taping it up and go swimming as the port is under the skin. They use this to give me chemo and draw blood and I don't have to get poked for IV anymore.
Terrysown, prayers for that young boy's family & friends. Weapons should always be locked up, especially when there are children anywhere around. It's sad to know that a young life was lost.
It's Tuesday, & time to get going around the world with our prayers.

Terrysown, my nephew died from a gun accident late last year just before Christmas. It was loaded and in a closet. He went to move it and it got hung on a hanger and went off, killing himself. He was only in his thirties. I think that people should defend themselves in other ways and not have loaded guns in their homes.
Well, we have had a few days of spring like weather...just to spoil us, because we are looking to be in the 20's again tonight..BRRRRR!!! I hope everyone is enjoying or at least tolerating your weather.
Thank you Patty for the information you sent me. I have sent it on to my friend and he is very appreciative too. Maybe he will be able to apply it in his parent's case as it has been applied in the case of your parents.
