Having Mega hertz shot into one’s face has got to mega hurt!

Sometimes I get confused when the powers that be go looking for water 239,000 miles away when keeping the water clean enough for drinking in their own back yard seems to be a difficult task. Confused

A mighty good statement Judi. And who do you think paid for all that "looking for water on the moon?" Well, you know....money well spent? I think not. I think NASA has just about had it with me. And BTW, what are we learning from the space shuttle?

On the other hand, can you imagine what it would mean for future generations if water, or more likely ice is discovered? Big Grin

Well, it certainly blew my illusions of the moon being made of cheese right out of the water. (pun)

Well, this is the way I looked at it. A 20 oz bottle of water costs about $1.00 and there are about 6.4 bottles to a gallon of water. Taking that 6.4 and dividing it into $79,000.000.00 (the cost of the trip to the moon in search of water) that comes to about 12,343,750 gallons of water that could have been dispersed where needed. That is if I did my math right and I will be the first to say it is not my best subject.

I’m not much of a movie buff in the sense of actually going to a theater to watch movies. I usually wait until the movie comes out on DVD and then see it years later. LOL! I watched Slumdog Millionaire this weekend and it had to be one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long, long time. I was totally riveted. Looking at some of the conditions that people, human beings that is, not moon men, live in on the planet Earth, I’m thinking 12,343,750 gallons of water would have helped out somewhere.

Eleni, I’m so sorry you had to find out this way about the non-existent cheese on the moon. You can always come to Wisconsin…we have plenty of cheese. Big Grin Uhm, has anyone discussed the Easter Bunny with you…yet? Wink

Crissycat, I can appreciate what you are saying. I guess I’m thinking, as Bluebird has alluded too, that there are millions of unemployed Americans who don’t appreciate NASA’s adventures at this time.

Judi, so good to read your thoughts, and I loved Slumdog too. It is too bad it never really caught on like some of the other really bad movies. Sure would love some of that good ol Wisconsin cheese since there isn't any on the moon available. Type again soon.

easy does it, Judi. I can only handle one illusion defusion at a time.

I absolutely love cheeses of almost any kind. I am sure thankful I am not lactose intolerent.

Ya know...I could use another road trip...
