Patty,

I'm so sorry to read this sad news. This man was my age, so it really makes one think. I wish good people could be spared such pain and misery, but the rain falls on all of us. I'll think of you tomorrow.

Thank you for your comments about my former sheriff....he was a good man, I am truly saddened by the way his life ended. Someday, I have one question for God that will help me understand everything about life.....why? Red Face

I needed to breeze thru here to leave a cyber hug for my dear friend OJ. He has had a rough year and needs this year to be better for him. For everything that happened, I feel his worse pain comes from a broken heart, to me the worst pain there is. OJ, if you happen to visit here, this hug is special just for you:

(((((((((((((((OJ)))))))))))))))

My vacation went way to fast, got only half the painting done that I had hoped to finish sooooo, tomorrow the paint comes back out and phase 102 begins. Roll Eyes I have cabinets and doors planned for Sunday....lol...wish me luck, I swear this project will never be finished. Red Face

Kathrine, while I'm here to take a little walk, I've been thinking about Donna and hoping that she is feeling better. It would be great if they could move closer to you....is there any chance that could happen?

Gotta zooom, late again.........................

Hay Peapod ((( Patty ))) How's Ziggybutt doing?

Well speaking with Donna last night, she said she can't take these winters anymore. We've been in a bitter cold snap these past few weeks and it's just wearing everyone down. It's cold enough that your nostrils slam shut when you go for a walk. Big Grin Anyway, our cousin Roy has put a bug in her ear -- so I'm hoping they'll either move closer to home (back to Edmonton) or if she's saying what I think she's saying they might even move out to the coast. I know that had been her dream a long while ago. Which is okay with me as well because I'd even consider selling my house and moving to the coast as well. The company I work for is country wide so I wouldn't have too much of a problem transferring. Smiler

Thank you for keeping her in mind - and you know that we all care and think of you often (yes my moose is hanging in the tree and the other is on my window sill) Big Grin

Hi Kathrine....so nice to see you. Smiler

I sure do hope that Donna and Peter do decide to move somewhere/anywhere closer to you and your dad. It really would be great for all of you if they did. Smiler

Ziggybutt is fine, a little cranky tonight but otherwise fine. It got a bit cold tonight so he's wearing his new midweight blanket that just came yesterday. His old one he outgrew 2 years ago and it left his hiney out in the breeze.

My day today was a real bear....but I did something today that I had never done---->tube fed a customer's dog. The dog (a Sheltie) had to have a colon disection back before Christmas and is on a liquid dogfood diet but, it takes two people to get it down. Her husband was out of town today so, she brought the food with her when she brought the dog for a much needed bath. Poor thing, she's lost a lot of weight and I think part of the problem is the antibiotic she's on. They see the vet again on Thursday when they run out of the meds so I'm hoping she will perk up shortly there after and won't need the tube feeding any more.

What we had to do was suck the dogfood up into a huge syringe, then get the tube into place and gently push the food thru the tube. Naturally, she didn't like it but she's got to eat something.... I'll be calling them on Thursday or Friday to see how she'd doing. Her name is Angel and it fits her well. Smiler

I'm beat and my eyes are crossing....

XXOO Smiler And thanks for visiting. Smiler

Greetings and happy Sunday to all.

I have a day of painting ahead of me today but wanted to go for a quick jog up the beach first. Smiler Once I break out the paintbrush, I don't come up for air until it's time for dinner. Roll Eyes

For some reason, I have Whitney Houston's song from The Bodyguard stuck in my head today. I came across a clip on YouTube that has Charice singing it and once again, she blew me away. That girl sure is talented! For those who have the time, this is Charice singing My Heart Will Go On, From Titanic, on a Oprah rebroadcast a week or so ago. This girl literally brings tears to my eyes:

My dear Sherry.....painting is all inside, to darn cold to even walk outside with a loaded paintbrush. Wink

Poor AllyB just came home from his neutering...he looks rough, kind of took me by surprise compared to all my cats before him. I'm keeping my eye on this one tonight.

Tonight I have a bit of a heavy heart with a situation I have that has me stumped. I actually don't even know how to put this one into words so let's just let it stand as is, I'm stumped. Confused

Before I go offline, a brief story about Ziggy to share...lol:

Ziggy's stall is closest to the tackroom and he has two walls that have chickens perched on them at night. The other night, one hen and two roosters jumped down into his stall...which he was less than thrilled about. I tried catching them, running circles around the Zig, who was just trying to mind his own business and eat his hay. Eventually, I caught one hen and one rooster jumped up on his own, leaving me and a little rooster to settle the boundary war......and then I saw where he was heading. Eeker Oh no, I have no idea how this is going to go. Meanwhile, Ziggy turned his head from time to time to see if I had solved the problem yet......and right at that moment, little rooster flew, right up on Ziggy's back. Yikes, what is he gonna do? I'm in the stall with the door shut and there's a rooster sittin on Ziggy's back?

With my experience from the fireworks fiasco still fresh in my memory, I just stood there...waiting. Ziggy wasn't quite sure of the situation but in the end, the stomach won and he went back to eating his hay....while that darn rooster settled right in. No, no, no, I am not picking feet with a rooster on his back and the only way I could get rid of him was to back Ziggy up to the wall and shoo the rooster up onto the wall...which is where he was supposed to be. When all was done though, I wished I had thought to take a pic with my cell phone....a little white rooster sitting on Ziggy's back...in the middle of his royal blue blanket. Wink He was cute, I just wasn't sure how cute Ziggy was going to think he was.

LOL, Patty. I can just see the rooster sitting on Ziggy's back. Maybe he just wanted to go for a ride. Big Grin Good thing Zig didn't start kicking. Eeker My Dad was kicked by a horse in his side once and it wasn't a pleasant experience to say the least. Glad it finally ended well. Smiler
