Nothing replaces direct communication between those who love-- Even when they are well-intentioned messages from "above".
Memories being incomplete as they often are, We do not always understand messages from afar.
Two pairs of eyes gazing deeply into each other's spirit; Everyone can feel it, but absolutely no one can hear it.
Deep emotion communicated without sound With each other's presence does love surround.
Surface relationships are precisely just that They fill up your time with little but chat.
Still and calm waters are the deepest ones To a point that shallow waters one eventually shuns.
A look, a gentle touch, hands clasped together firmly Nothing can duplicate love expressed so warmly.
Time spent with each other walking, talking together Creates companionship that each soul does treasure.
Even taking a few moments from a busy day To make that needed call will help us find a way
To communicate clearly what is thought and felt Will all misunderstandings eventually melt.
Then on into the future we can move with no more doubt For at long last and finally we will have let those feelings out.
Then the love felt and intended to be shared Will flow freely between when inner self is bared.
Beneath the tough exterior lies the warmest of hearts Now open that door as the emotional flow starts
The completeness will follow with peace that is deep And serenity will reign supreme even in your sleep.
NOTE: written 4/11/08 @ 5:40pm in a little memo book while riding a bus home. Gee, it's a good thing I printed, huh?
Personal comment: Time, distance, and all those entities, forces or people who try to keep separate those who love each other will never stop love from flowing from one to another, particularly when it is unselfish.
Be blessed, each of you! I pray that all will eventually know exactly what I mean through their own personal experiences of life.
Until the very last moment ... may you be at peace,
Lanette
