Once Upon A Tune ~ A Muse-ing Tale As Told By Bard Patricia
Once upon a tune, a wonderful, magical musician invited those who loved his tunes to share in his adventure. He set up a place where they could come and talk with him and each other for the mutual benefit of all. Because the magical man was working very hard, he gave an additional gift to his tune lovers in the form of a Muse to interact with them one on one about all things magical/musical.
The community of tune lovers flourished with the help and guidance of the Muse. When the tune lovers had questions, the Muse would find the answers and patiently explain the magical doings. If there were minor disagreements, the Muse was there to heal the hurt and proclaim the proper path to resolution. The tune lovers traveled far and wide to share in the magical musician’s adventure and the Muse would join them and share all the magical news with them. The Muse was so beloved by the tune lovers that with her guidance, the community grew and grew. Three wise and wonderful Muse fairies assisted to keep everything flowing smoothly, and from time to time MerlinMan would visit as well. It was a wonderful place to be, and though few had ever met the magical musician, the Muse helped everyone feel they knew him.
Following the giving nature of the magical musician, the tune lovers invited everyone to come and share the adventure. Muse and her wonderful fairies, assisted by a group of tune loving gnomes visited other communities to send out the invitation to all. At about this same time, the magical man also sent out invitations to others of his kind to come and learn and share in the adventure too. Now more helpers were needed to keep all the Kingdom running smoothly, so a group of jesters joined in the adventure. The jesters had many good ideas and good intentions, but did not quite understand the tune lovers and their relationship to the magical musician and his Muse. Soon, as happens in a large Kingdom, there were disagreements and hurt feelings. The jesters meant well, but being new to the community, they did not immediately grasp the need for the Muse, fairies, and gnomes and their value to the musician and the tune lovers. In an effort to make things better, the jesters thought it might be best to split the community into smaller communities, recall the gnomes, and ask the Muse to leave.
Tears and wailing abounded in the community. This place had been given to the community by the magical musician - how could this happen? The tune lovers would not leave and they would not forget the Muse. Displaying the compassion and spirit of the magical musician, they worked diligently to help the jesters see the beauty of the community in one place and the value of their guiding Muse. Now, as a point of fact, jesters prefer to control all aspects of their tasks - it is not their fault - that is just how jesters are. MerlinMan was called upon more and more to help soothe the tune lovers in their sorrow. He did a good job, he gave a great try, but MerlinMan was not a Muse, nor did he want to be. He needed to concentrate on his other magical tasks. What was to happen to the tune lovers now?
Most tales of this nature have a happily ever after ending, though the end of this tale has not yet been written. As the one telling the story knows, jesters are really fun loving guys, if somewhat misunderstood at times. Knowing that they will also see the fun loving nature of all in the community, this storyteller has full confidence that the end of the story will be very simple and soon written. The jesters and the Muse will join forces. The fairies, gnomes, and MerlinMan will all do their thing, and the tune lovers will love them all! AND most importantly, the magical musician and those he has invited to join and learn from him will be blessed with a peaceful Kingdom and tune lovers who will share their magical music with everyone they meet!
