Blue Jeans and T-Shirts ©
Is it such a bad thing
To be just blue jeans and T’s
Once a week, a skirt and blouse
That I must admit
Resembles a fancy T
Conforming to style and fad
Was like to me breathing water
Or put another way
Like a fish out of water
I tried to conform
Really I have
But I am just
A jeans and T type of person
With a rusty nail
No worries with denim
Soft cotton T
Leaves the rest of me
To contemplate the cosmos
Or the leaves of autumn
Rather than the latest do
It can’t be all that bad
To not desire the latest fad
My head can’t be bothered
Nor my thoughts smothered
With vanity’s luring dream
After all, I have no body
Worth fussing about night and day
Comfort? Oh, my...
I have gotten old?
Nope, been this way since
Way back when
It is only today
That I have made peace
With blue jeans and T’s
just a quick one...after all it has been a while since playing in this part of the playground.
ciao
"Writing books is quite the adventure. First, it is a daydream, an entertainment of our imagination. Then it transforms into an idea which grows until it consumes us like a nightmare. We can either shiver with fear of the imaginary monster growing in our head, or slay the dragon with the sword of publishing."
