The first time I was brought to tears by Yanni's music was when I was 16 years old at the YANNI LIVE Symphony Concerts tour in 1995 - the songs that did it for me were "Love for Life" (brilliant operatic/jazz vocals by Lynn and Fran) and "Desire".
The next time was "Love is All" - Tribute 1998 tour - Vann Johnson.
The third time was "On Sacred Ground" - Ethnicity 2003 tour.
What do all these songs have in common? Well, apart from the 1995 tour version of "Desire", they all have vocals! I love Yanni's instrumental music and it will always be my favorite aspect of his artistry, but sometimes there's a vocal song that just moves me deep inside.
Here I am now, listening to Ender. His voice stirs me like a cup of warm coffee on a cold morning. "Desire" is BACK for me and "Whispers in the Dark", which I first listened to on the In My Time album while going through a particularly tough breakup, is reborn.
Thank you, Yanni and Ender.

Hi ForeverRed Yes, Ender's singing w/Yanni's music definitely does stir one up. Haven't had the chance to 'relax' and listen to the latest update, yet. There is a piece at the end of the very 1st video where he sings something like, 'la vida es asi, te quita y te da....' and don't think I heard this in Desire? Do you know? Anyway, that's the one that I've been waiting to hear since the beginning.
The song you're talking about is indeed "Keys to Imagination". It's the section right before Yanni's original version would have gone into the 7/8 synth dulcimer melody. I believe Yanni has tooled the new version to be in 4/4 now that it has lyrics. Guess we'll wait and see!

I have no idea what 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 7/8 or even 4/4 is when it comes to music, but let me just say that this ends my day (even though another on has already started) on a great note to what was a not so good day. Thanks.
Oh, and Yanni, just in case you're reading this (yeah, right, like you really are)/which is why I'm not so embarrassed about writing this, lol). Please,.....don't keep me waiting too long for this song!Guess I'll hear from one of the mods later, or, er, sooner, hee hee.
Oh gosh, if you did/do read this: Thanks, for keeping your message board alive. It means lots to me. Sorry to rush you w/that song I want to hear, but the little part of the song I heard just 'grabbed me'.
Hi Navi, Glad we cleared it up for you and I hope your day today is better.
Omar, I have been amazed at how Yanni has reinvigorated his music to allow words. I'm very mildly musically capable and I would love to watch the process. I know you probably have a better grasp on what all is involved since you are a real musician. Wouldn't it be wonderful to observe for a day? I'm really looking forward to Ender and Chloe's duet on Until The Last Moment.
