I just received this in an email and wanted to share it with you.
"My husband took me to the Yanni Voices concert last night here in Ft. Lauderdale and i can describe it for you in 3 words... Oh My God, It was PHENOMENAL! Okay, 3 words just aren't enough!
There were a lot of people there, and even though it was a bit humid, and our seats weren't the greatest... the evening was beyond magical to say the least.
The sound was terrific, the light and stage show seemed to be different (and even better) than it looked on the PBS special from Acapulco, and "The Man, his band and his Voices" performed brilliantly... everything just seemed to be perfect! There really was something for everyone; our favorite instrumental classics, a lot of great new songs (I must get the new CD TODAY!), and some truly out-of-this-world solos that defy reality.
I'm so glad we went, and I wholeheartedly recommend that any fans out there (new or past) get out to see it... you'll be so glad you did. For many long time fans out there (including us), we didn't truly know how we'd feel about the "New Yanni", but after last night all i can say is "absolutely, positively wonderful". Hey, there's the 3 words I was looking for!!!"
That is so wonderful that we are hearing the great reviews from our fans.. Thanks YMusic Muse for posting them.. That Yanni always comes through for us always.. I knew he would never stop delivering his beautiful music. I am so anxious to see him on Tuesday night....I hope everyone that can gets out to one of the shows...It is so spiritual and healing for us all...
"Look at the sunset. If it pleases you, you're a happy man." - Yanni Marilyn Love Is All
Yanni has incorporated solo breaks as always throughout the show. Some of the most memorable are:
-Desire: A violin solo by Samavel is absolutely fantastic, one of his best ever with so much pure energy and world influences from Mediterranean to Latin.
-Duet: The entire song features solos by Jason Carder on flugelhorn and Samvel on violin.
-November Sky features a great trumpet solo again by Jason Carder.
-The Keeper: feature acoustic guitar solos by Cesar Lemos.
-Within Attraction: featuring Samvel and Ann Marie Calhoun on violin.
-Sasha does a spectacular Cello solo leading into Adagio.
-Late in the second act, there is a Harp (Victor), Guitar (Cesar), Bass (Gabriel) and Percussion (Joel) interlude that is spectacular and really features Victor.
-Marching Season features long time drummer Charlie Adams facing off with Yanni on piano.
