Sorry, this has probably been asked a hundred times already, but being somewhat new to the YMB, I missed it. Ticketmaster notified me via email, when Yanni came to my town. They began selling tickets at 8:00 a.m. I had mine purchased by 8:01. But still, my seats were way back on the 10th row! Hopefully vibrating that Yanni tours once again, wanting to know if the YMB offers first crack at front row seats? Also- how does everyone get together at the concerts? Is there just ONE place you meet, or do folks just try to meet near their own town? I'd love to meet YMBers from the Kansas City area, but will also travel to other venues as well-Hawk-hope to meet you in St.Louis!

Yes, Y-me, YMBers get first crack at concert tickets. There will be a certain day and time that our chance starts. Be sure you are signed up for the newsletters, too. I don't mean to jump the gun on the moderators, I wish I had know sooner about this on my first concert. As far as meeting, that usually happens here on the YMB for whatever concert people are going to. In Peace, Love and Yannitude, Margaret0949
Thank you Margaret and please let me clarify. It is not just the YMB members who have first pick of concert tickets. All fan club members have a period where tickets are sold ONLY to fan club members. Nothing guarantees front row tickets and just because a person purchases in the presale doesn't mean they will get specific seats. Booster club seats for individual venues often take precedence over the fan club so often front row tickets are limited to only a few available.
Also, just for your information, you actually were seated in what show staff (and I) consider prime seats. In the tenth row you can see the entire stage and you get the full effect of the lighting and staging. In the front row, all you see is feet and the face of the security guard staring at you
Oh Ya, Eggie, they were still great seats on the 10th row. Guess I didn't realize that being TOO close may not be such a good thing. After all, it was out here in Kansas City, (who the heck wants to go THERE???).......since it was the most exciting thing to probably happen, in, well, since the LAST Yanni concert came through!Hope it's not too boring for Yanni to come here once again for the next show!YMM???? I still am good for my promise to take ya out for some great BarBQ! lol! Who's game?

I got 5th row center seats on the floor for the Atlanta Concert of the Live Tour. That was the best offered and I was thrilled. I've read what Bonnie said about front row seats and a few rows back from other people. They weren't able to see other orchestra members further back on the stage by sitting so close. My first concert I was on the side but rather close down to the floor and I really liked it. I guess it depends on the venue though. I take my binoculars no matter where I'm sitting. That may be the reason I missed the Eagle on the screen during the Live Tour. I was probably trying to get a close up look of someone through the darned binoculars and missed that beautiful Eagle. Duhhh!!! It's also very hard not knowing an arena and how it's set up whether the seats will be to your liking. I'm not sure if waiting for tickets to go on sale to the general public would help. I haven't been to a concert except for these last two Yanni concerts since I was a teen way back in the stone age. I think way back then we did have a choice of picking our seats, but not sure. Good luck next tour. Sara
Ya know in all honesty the best seats I ever had were in Champaign. Champaign is kind of a small venue and the sound boards were up on the deck between the first section of riser seats and the second. We were sitting right next to the sound boards on the deck and could see everything very well. We had a great time
I did have first row in Minneapolis but I really would have preferred further back. The only good thing was David was right in front of us when he did one of his didge solos. Judi and I never have figured out how she managed to pull front rows
Well, I have had front row seats at 2 concerts and I would not change them for anything!!!! I like being able to see everyone up close and personal. In Peace, Love and Yannitude, Margaret0949
Could not resist, you mentioned in your post above – “In the front row, all you see is feet and the face of the security guard staring at you.” That is my usual view at the concerts, would not trade the view and feeling – really connected with the concert. All in good fun and spirit – all the best.
You can have it strangetimes....I'm plenty connected as long as I'm in the arena. I know some people really like front row (and to each his own) but to me the stage is way too high for that. I suppose if the stage were only a couple feet off the ground I'd feel differently but with it being somewhere around as high as I stand it just hurts to constantly look up like that
