Four years ago, I truly thought that it was impossible for me to get any more excited about a Yanni concert than I did then. I was very wrong.
I waited anxiously to see the Yanni Voices concert, this time around in Las Vegas, not sure whether I would have the same feeling when I left or not. My seats were in a different area than I thought, however, I had the best view & sound I could wish for. I was more than pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this concert...the whole entire concert. I loved each piece of music, whether old, new, revised, or original. Because I'm hearing impaired, & cannot understand all of the words, even when they are in English, the Voices at least added an additional layer to the music, as voices are instruments also. The performances were, indeed better in person than hearing the music from the CDs. What a natural high this event was! I yelled until my throat was sore, danced & stood up more often than I expected I would. You could not have wiped the smile off of my face if you had tried.
My only complaint was that the concert couldn't have gone on even longer, as it seemed like the time went by so quickly. I could have continued to have had fun & listened, watched & enjoyed all night long. I really feel that there is something for everyone in this concert. I loved the variety of the songs, the performances, & the hard work by everyone involved.
My sincerest kudos & congratulations to Yanni, the Voices, the orchestra & musicians, as well as everyone else behind the scenes. You all should be commended on giving so many such great pleasure. It was a job VERY well done.
If I have the opportunity, I would go again, as once is not enough. Thank you for filling my ears, eyes & heart with joy. I think it will be a very long time before I come down from the cloud that I'm on.
