Since the new Yanni management team seems to release more information to the public than to Yanni's fans , check out this press release about the tour:

So, can you actual buy tickets threw that sight already or are they simply saying this is what they will be? if that's the case do fan club members actually get any advantage in buying tickets? I don't mean to be so forward or to sound rude, I am just very curious and very serious about all this.
thanks

I can't really tell you much, DUB. It looks to me like it is just a publicity news item. I don't think you can do anything with it except read it. I just found it and thought it would be of interest to others. Don't know how it works.

No, they are merely reporting the dates which have been announced. Public onsales will begin on the 19th, but this will be only for certain dates, I believe. Some promoters/venues are requesting later onsale dates, and the specifics have not been agreed to as of yet. Meetings and calls are ongoing; updated information will be posted on the tour page as soon as we have it.
Thanks, YMR, for giving us what information you have.

If what was posted earlier was correct, Yanni Voices Fan Club members will be notified of advance ticket sales. How is the delay of further details gonna affect this. One of my venues has a General Public ticket sales date of 12/19/08 (eleven days from now) with the concert date April 19th 2009. What about those before that date? This whole situation is just a mess. Sara/SC
I clicked on the link provided in post one and then clicked the tickets tad on that site, I then typed Yanni as the key word and a list of ticket sales came up. they where all very expensive and sold in groups. where these even real tickets or whats going on?
between PBS a few random web sites, and the fan club i am so confused and stressed about getting tickets. don't mean to pass my stresses on to anyone else just curious whats going on.

See this link for an explanation of ticket sales. At this point that is the most we know.
As to the link you clicked on DUB it was likely for a ticket broker. The tickets they have are sold to them or consigned to them by booster club members. Booster clubs in most cases have first right to their assigned seats. They can choose to sell them. At no time would those seats be available to the presale.
Now for my soapbox, sorry Joy.
Ticket brokers are my pet peave. They are called scalpers for a reason. They charge exorbitant prices for tickets that often aren't even very good seats. They also use dirty tricks to get access to seats that should go to real fans. That is why I have stressed and stressed the importance of using will-call only for our presales. This circumvents the scalpers by making it impossible for them to sell the tickets they buy. They can't sell them if they themselves aren't going to be there to collect them.
Okay climbing down now...thank you for the use of your string Joy
Relax, I know things are confusing now but we'll get this all worked out and get the information to fans in time for the sales.
Not only don't I mind your soapbox, but I'd like to add a pet peeve of my own. When you buy from a ticket broker or from an unapproved internet site, you run the risk of getting counterfeit tickets. I have been to venues and seen tickets scanned and people told they can't go in because the tickets are counterfeit.
It is heartbreaking to see people's reaction when they realize they spent a fortune for tickets they can't use and unless there are tickets available and they can afford to buy them at the venue, they won't be seeing the concert.
