Does anyone know what type of music Yanni likes to listen to? and which of the artistes does he like?

I think I read that he liked old Classical. Enjoyed Mozart as a young boy? Well, I really think he always heard his music.

This comes from an interview in Knoxville CityView from February 2004.

"Even though I don't listen to a lot of music any more, I do enjoy U2. I like Bono's voice. I like the way he sings. I like Barbra Streisand a lot. I like Andrea Bocelli. There are others, I just can't think of them right now. See, I don't think like that. Particularly, when I create music, I don't really like to listen to music.

So, I kind of isolate myself. I don't go and listen to music at night before I go to sleep, because I'm working on mine. I'm listening to whatever I' m working with in the studio, which could be 16-hour days. That could go on for months on end.

When people go, 'What music do you listen to?' I go, I don't know, the last time I heard music was six months ago. My mind thinks in different ways, becuase it's always precoccupied with the creative aspect of music.
I like John Williams. I like Jerry Goldsmith. These are a couple of the composers from movies. I like some of their work. James Horner does very well these days. He's a newcomer. He does very good work."

Andrea Bocelli concerts are aired on STAR WORLD and in his concert the guitarist is none other than Ramon. Ramon toured with Yanni during his tribute concert in India and China.

Happy to see you RAMON . I wonder if he is still touring with Andrea Bocelli or not.

Ramon (Stagnaro) can be seen on Andrea Bocelli's latest DVD "Under the Desert Sky" filmed at Lake Las Vegas". He also has a very nice website that shows more clips and photos.

I too was pleasantly surprised to see him, as the last time was during Yanni's World Tour.

He does a wonderful job with a number of the songs performed ... it just seems he has magic flying from those fingers.
