Hi everybody! There is a very fine connection between music and colors. I was interesting to know what kind of colour or kind of pictures the music of Yanni provoke in the others? Is this an island or a rainbow, mystic place or new worlds... It could be interesting to share... buy
Hi emomih, It's good to see you posting on the YMB. This is an interesting idea. I know that when I listen to Santorini I think of blue sea and sky with white houses bathed in sunlight. Also with After the Sunrise I picture a huge golden sun above green mountains with the rays stretching down into the valley. I'm sure others will have similar visions. Take care,
I also see the most beautiful natural landscapes, sky, mountains, water, meadows, etc., but no matter what, I see the most positive light in our world, no matter what is happening mortally. Yanni's music evokes hope, happiness, peace, light & beauty.

Every day is a 'new' day, full of opportunities, adventure and a chance to make your dreams come true.
Yanni's music is really so picturesque and beautiful. Seems it comes from another world...to make our world better. I often see picturesque nature and mountains... and when I am happy I see the sunset and it pleases me!
This is a great question emomih! I see different things in my mind with different songs. Many of the songs give me visions of quiet beaches and fields of flowers. Some bring to mind events in my life when I was younger. The interesting thing to me is that they never bring dark, frightening, or disturbing things to mind. Even the wistful songs have a feeling of peace to them. There is no other earthly thing that brings me as much comfort, joy, hope, and peace as Yanni/his music.
When I listen to his instrumental music I see wonderful landscapes, islands, temples, the sea,the sun,the waves,lakes... I love his music...It's an inspiration to me..
When i listen to Yanni's music I see the different colors of the rainbow and all the nationalities and countries of the musicians that make up his music.

Yanni’s music compositions are amazing. I was introduced to his music a couple of years ago, knowing only that he was a well-known instrumental musician and linked to Linda Evans. Last month we saw our first Yanni concert in Chicago. Am hooked.
The introduction came when I began to see the effects Yanni’s music had on the behavior of an autistic 5-year-old child; and, on a deaf child who had received a cochlear implant and was hearing sounds for the first time in his 7-year old life. Through the music at bedside, I’ve seen physiological and spiritual changes in patients. We see their pulse lower, breathing deepen, their oxygen saturations go up. Yanni as music therapy? Why not. We know music therapy works – so does Yanni. Seeing is believing.
