"Yanni Moments".....when time stops for a moment! Either loud or subtle, recognition is at the most unexpected moments.....the middle of a department store....and lingers for a very long time. We know that sound!

"Writing books is quite the adventure. First, it is a daydream, an entertainment of our imagination. Then it transforms into an idea which grows until it consumes us like a nightmare. We can either shiver with fear of the imaginary monster growing in our head, or slay the dragon with the sword of publishing."
Okay.....maybe I offended some, maybe some agree but are afraid to respond....maybe some are confused to what I mean....
Please....whatever you read into what I have said.....I have said what I felt at the time.
Yanni's music saved my life!!!! I will never forget that fact. I have come a very long ways from pain, depression, sorrow and regrets. I must give credit to God, but I still believe that Yanni was a very valuable tool used in bringing me to a point in my life that I can rejoice in the simple beating of life! Life is precious!!! His music touched me and the fans I have come to know have touched me....I found strength when I felt weak, I found friendship when I felt alone, and I found joy where before only sorrow was there each day.
I love the words...."That's Yanni!!!" and now I must learn to wrap my mind around, "That's Yanni????" Believe me....I will!
lobe you guys more than you will ever know!

Hi there Hermie! I can't believe it's 7 years since we came here. Many here will testify that Yanni's music has uplifted them but I know how much it helped you through a very difficult time.
Ahhh yes...whenever I go into the Wendell August store in Berlin, they have looped music and I get to hear a selection by Yanni several times!! Hermie, remember the friend I brought to meet you??? She even commented and recognized his music!!

oops, it seems I have been neglecting the boards. Sorry everyone. I kinda got sidetracked with shooting my desktop and getting a laptop.
Okay...that was a sorry excuse. Working 10 hours a day is making an old lady outa me.
Glad you guys like my avatar. I love that little guy. There are a few cute ones along that same design. One makes me dizzy and another makes me wanna dance.
Wowsers! Anne, you are right. It has been a long time since we came here and it seems like a lifetime since Yanni had a concert where we could all go crazy together. His music has helped heal a lot of wounds along the way. Meeting at concerts, Panera bread, my road trip in 2003, etc has helped soooooo much. You all are so wonderful!!!
Now, I listen to Yanni for almost 9 hours a day while at work to drown out the machines, the ladies who insist on talking instead of working, and the thoughts that depress me. I listen while I work and allow my mind to wander into the books I am writing. It makes those hours just fade away.
hugs too all of you

Yeah....Gayl...a lifetime, it seems. But, oh what a life...right? Bet everything your way is beginning to look like spring....flowers, blossums, etc. It is nice here today, but still bare and wintery looking.
Well, Anne for the past couple of weeks I was transferring data over to my new laptop so I could shoot my desktop. I was unable to be safely on line until my laptop was secure for the internet. Once the plug was pulled on the desktop, I was internet shy.
I like my new lappy now....except for Vista OS. It fits where only the keyboard of my desktop went. Nice idea in an apartment the size of mine, doncha think?
bunches of hugs
ps...listening to Yanni all day at work helps preserve sanity...or is it insanity?
