Hey, I found a video song listing not in the DVD itself.

The track listing is:

Santorini
Keys to imagination
Until the Last moment
The rain must fall
One mans dream
Within attraction
Felitsa
Marching season
Nostalgia
Acroyali/standing in motion
Aria
Swept away
Reflections of passion
The end of August

Is this the orignal order of the concert?

Would the rain must fall & Swept away be uncut like in the cd?

Hello Tiger,

The list you found is the songlist for the original DVD of "Live At The Acropolis." The pieces you list are listed in the wrong order but they are all on the DVD.

Santorini
Until the Last Noment
Keys to Imagination
The Rain Must Fall
Felitsa
Within Attraction
One Man's Dream
Marching Season
Nostalgia
Acroyali/Standing in Motion
Aria
Reflections of Passion
Swept Away
The End of August

The CD contains only 11 songs, not the 14 on the DVD. The missing pieces are Marching Season, Aria and The End of August.

The Rain Must Fall and Swept Away are the same on both the CD and the DVD.

The listing you found may be from an illegal copy of the DVD or video or it may be something different. Very often the concert order is different from the order of the DVD/CD for live concerts and most of the time, there are pieces that never make it onto the DVD which would account for why the order may be moved around. Unfortunately, I couldn't say whether this was the original order of the songs at the concert or not.

Oh, that makes sense.

If you went to the actual concert, would the rain must fall(the first min. and 20 sec.) and swept away (dont remember how long the cut time is)songs be uncut?

Oh, and by the way, was the orignal edition/1984 release by Atlantic released on compact disk?

Because i think i have the 1989 release.

Hi again,

I'm not sure because I wasn't there but the songs at the concert would have been uncut.

As far as a release on Atlantic, Yanni didn't perform at the Acropolis until 1993 which was released on Private Music in 1994. There was no release on Atlantic that I'm aware of and certainly not in 1984 so if you have one, you've been swindled.

The original full concert was never released on CD. There are two versions that I'm aware of, one released in Europe that included Aria and one released in North America that did not.

So, everything you hear on cd and more was at the actual event? because ive heard some things in the cd i havent heard in the dvd.

are those in the real concert as well?

I would have loved to go to that concert.

All of the music is previously released.

Oh and i meant a 1984 release by atlantic for
optimystique on cd, sorry for the confusion.

Oh that makes sense. Yes Optimystique was released twice - once in 1989...I think that's the release most of us have. Unfortunately, the tracks on the 1989 version were all muddled up by Private Music.

As far as Live At The Acropolis, all the songs on the CD were performed at the concert along with several more that aren't included on the CD. However, I think everything on the CD was also included on the DVD unless the CD you have is some special version.

The problem is that Yanni's former labels still hold distribution rights to the music so they can re-release it in any order and include any pieces they choose. Even management has a hard time keeping up with what's out there.

Yeah, like I hear yanni say "Thank You" in the claping between nostalgia and swept away, in swept away, Michael Bruno on percussion has a longer solo, Ric Fierabracci, has a shorter Bass solo on the rain must fall, Between Acroyali/Standing in motion and one man's dream
yanni says "Song is called One man's dream" plus somthing else i can't understand, etc.

These are in the cd only.

Ahhh those little bits and pieces are definitely things that might have been left off of the DVD. Never really did notice that on the solos though...tells you I'm just grooving along and not really paying that much attention. Plus I don't watch the DVD as much so I probably wouldn't notice.

The CD and DVD are just as good no matter what the edits are. I enjoy them alot.

Plus, I have all 14 orignal cds in the library.

Including the 5 cds that are not in print.

Optimystique was the last cd to complete the collection. Plus, they were all collected in less than one year.

Plus I have Chameleon days on LP(Record).

Do you have any out of print cds?

Twilight sounds like the ocean.
