Hi,

Till these years I used to listen to the Radio Edit version of Nice to Meet you song. Yesterday I bought a 3 CD pack from
Sony - BMG which has all time hits of yanni that were released during the Windham Hill, Private Music and BMG labels.

In that I listend for the first time the original version of "Nice to meet you". It's lovely. I would love to listen this song in a concert.

Also, I was surprised to listen to Marching Season without Drums. The whole song was on piano itself.

I remember I told everyone to stop buying the compilation albums but now I have bought again.. LOL!!! It's worth buying... This compilation album is called Definitive Collection series on Sony-BMG label. On each CD it has 12 songs.

I'm glad you got it Sharat.

Really there's nothing wrong with the compilations because Yanni still gets royalties. For a lot of people compilations are the only place they can get some of the older songs because some of the originals are no longer in production.

Hi Sharat!! I know what you mean. Everywhere I go I ckeck out the music stores and look for Yanni's music. If I don't have something that I may find...I buy it. I think I'm up to about 23 cd's now. Its pretty cool comparing how the older compositions sound different from when he performs them now.And you know, if it has Yanni's name on it, it can only be good. One of my favorite compilations is the one entitled "In The Mirror". I love that song, plus there is an excellent selection of songs on that particular cd. Another fav is Yanni's Love Songs. Its a very continuous mellow cd, when your in one of those moods.
But right now, I can NOT seem to stop jammin to Yanni Live. I am loving it!!! The dvd at home and the cd in the car. I've fallen in love with the way Sacred Ground is done. Awesome. Smiler Big Grin
Take care
Terry

Hi Sharat,

I have a guestion for you. You seem to know alot about the music. I have alot of Yannis cds, but recently I bought THE BEST OF YANNI.It played fine on my cd player at home and in my car, but would not play on my cd walkman. Even at the store they did not know what was wrong, do you have an idea what could be wrong? Roll Eyes

Hi Terry Smiler

I 100% agree with you that "In the Mirror" is one of the best Compilations released so far from BMG. Love Songs album does have good selection of songs in it.

I often get confused with In the Mirror and In the morning light.

Hi Storm Smiler,

It seems there is a problem in your CD walkman. Does this happen with each and every CD that you play in your CD Walkman or is it only with that perticular album of Yanni?

There is one album Optimystique which I feel is no longer in production as well as distribution.

I request Yanni if he considers in re-releasing this album with the same name and same tracks again.

Something like "OLD WINE in NEW BOTTLE" Big Grin

I have tried my best in getting this album but couldn't.

Hi Sharat,

There are actually five that are no longer in production - Optimystique, Keys To Imagination, Niki Nana, Out Of Silence and Chameleon Days.

I don't believe Yanni can re-release because the distribution rights belong to Private Music/BMG.

May be Yanni can request the PrivateMusic/BMG itself to release the album again.

Anyways he is going to get his royalty Wink.

HI Sharat,

Thanks but it is just this one CD. Everything else works fine. I guess this will remain a mistery. Roll Eyes Smiler

Sharat - I must be doing something wrong somewhere because I can find no listing for the album you mentioned. Is it known by another name? Where did you find it? When was it made available? Thanks for any info you have on it.
